Support Is A Verb is more than a phrase. It is a philosophy at the heart of The Village and the work founded by Dr. Lakeysha “Key” Hallmon.
The idea is simple: community is not something we simply belong to. It is something we actively build. Support becomes meaningful through action: buying from a business, sharing knowledge, opening a door, making an introduction, investing resources, showing up, or using what you have to help someone else move forward.
That belief has shaped the ecosystem Dr. Key built through The Village Market, The Village Retail, and Our Village United. The name The Village reflects that same understanding: entrepreneurs, customers, partners, and communities are stronger when people intentionally contribute to one another's growth.
