Play Pits is a 100% all-natural deodorant, free of aluminum, parabens, synthetic fragrances and other harsh chemicals. This is a mother's solution to providing a kid-friendly, all-natural hygiene option for youth with active lifestyles. Our mission is to educate parents and children about the dangerous ingredients found in popular deodorants and everyday household products. Play Pits strives to be a beacon of healthier solutions for all demographics and communities at an affordable price point. Chantel is currently the CEO of Play Pits in Atlanta, GA with her Husband and 3 kids. Play Pits has now grown to a trusted hygiene solution for the entire family offering products for teens, parents, and of course young athletes everywhere!
Founded by Chantel Powell and inspired by her son, Kam, Play Pits began with one very relatable problem: an active six-year-old who came home from sports smelling far more grown than his age.
As a mother with a longtime interest in natural products, Chantel wanted a deodorant she could feel good about giving her son something made with his young skin in mind, but still fresh, fun, and effective enough that he would actually want to use it. When she couldn't find what she was looking for, she went to her kitchen and created it herself.
Kam loved his mom's solution and had an even bigger idea: she should make it for everyone. What began as one mother's answer to an everyday parenting problem soon grew through teammates, families, friends, and word of mouth into Play Pits.
Today, Play Pits creates natural hygiene essentials for the entire family while staying rooted in the idea that started it all: kids should be free to play, move, and show up confidently and parents should have products they can feel good about choosing for them.
